About Adam Mamawala

Adam Mamawala is an award-winning 26 year old stand-up comedian based out of Astoria, NY. A former winner of the New Jersey Comedy Festival, Adam was recently named one of Funny or Die’s "Top 30 Under 30: Comedians to Watch". Adam has performed at over 150 colleges across more than 35 states and recently appeared on an episode of MTV’s Girl Code. In 2013, Adam took part in the Jersey City Comedy Festival, Laughing Devil Comedy Festival, Woodstock Comedy Festival, Hoboken Comedy Festival and the Boston Comedy Festival, and in November he was featured as Time Out New York’s “Joke of the Week”.

Adam was named to Campus Activities Magazine’s 2012 Dean’s List as the second highest rated stand-up comedian with an average score of 4.84 out of 5, and in 2013 he was voted Campus Activities Magazine’s “Fastest Rising Star”. He is also currently nominated for 2014 “Comedian of the Year”! Student activities students and staff have described Adam as "a comedian whose act delivers more than his price and a ‘must have’ on campus”, "a seasoned performer on stage - comfortable, confident and talented", and "funny, personable, and quick on his feet, an ideal college performer!"
